Baby food

When James started his solid food journey, I wanted to make sure to give him the most balanced diet and set up his diet in the good way. We started him with Earth's Best Organic Whole Grain Rice Cereal, 12 - 8-Ounce Boxes. He loved it and was very excited to start solid food.
Then we moved to Earth's Best Organic Whole Grain Oatmeal Cereal, 8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) which is pretty much the same as rice cereal. It was really fun to feed him!

When our pediatrician suggested us to start him with other food. We believed that we can just steam it and mash it. We had always have a hand blender and I loved its convenience and ease to use. Instead of cleaning many parts and big container, hand blenders had only one part and its very quick to clean. There is only very limited space for New York apartments the small hand blender is just perfect for us. No extra piece of appliance to clutter the counter top.

Chewing on finger food like teething cookie or a slice of bread makes his feeding more interesting. He feels like a big boy when we can feed himself. Put a bowl and spoon for him so he can try to feed himself. It is very messy at first, so cover up your furniture and the floor for easy cleaning. Use soft spoon so baby won't hurt their throat.

James is not a picky eater. He loves avocado with egg yolk. Greens with squash. We generally start with fruit like banana or apple thinned with rice cereal for breakfast. Any combination of tomato, carrots, squash, spinach, rice, egg yolk or avocado are all good. Just remember to avoid egg whites, berries, nuts and shellfish then your little buddy will be allergic free!
